Patti's First Blog Post
Okay, it's not that hard!
Now that the marathon and Run for the Cure and Run For Africa are over, I know the temptation would be there to just STOP running for awhile. But part of the joy of living in the Okanagan is that we really CAN keep running for most of the year. This is when we really need the motivation of friends! Remember how good it feels to "Just DO IT!"
Are you still game to meet at BLISS on Saturdays? If so, what time? 7:30? 8:00? As I type this, it is pouring rain outside. Who knows what tomorrow morning will look like. If it's not raining hard, I'll plan to be at Bliss at 8:00. I hope I have company!

COULD WE BE ANY PROUDER??
Danette...
Not only did she complete her very first marathon.
Not only did she do it in 4 hours and a couple minutes.
She was smiling and looking strong and crossed that finish line like a champ!
She was AWESOME!! WE'RE SOOOOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!! WAY TO GO!!!!!
In the 10K race were Patti, Bobbi, Cathy & Dawn (1:02:17), and Linda (1:16:21) and her daughter & future-daughter-in-law!
Sole Mates, (meaning spouses of sole sisters, not each other's sole-mates) Joel (10K - 54:01) and Dean (half - 1:44:18) were also there and did great!
Thanks sooo much to Rebecca & the Rogers, Dan and the Saders for coming out to cheer us on! Rebecca & Patti took some pics which we'll try to get loaded up here soon.
On another note, next Saturday is the GREAT BIG RUN FOR AFRICA... Raising money to provice small business loans for women in Africa! Is that not cool?
The relay goes from Westbank to Enderby! I know Steph is still hoping for a few more participants in the afternoon, and Patti & I are hoping for a few sponsers from our Sole Sisters!! She and I will be running 5K from Staples towards the airport, starting at 8:45. Also, if there is anyone who would have a little time that morning, we are hoping to find someone who wouldn't mind driving behind us to pick us up and bring us back to our car... anyone heading into Kelowna Sat am that could spare about 40 minutes?
I hope you're all having an awesome Thanksgiving weekend!
Looking forward to seeing you all again soon!
