I'd sure love to go for a long run tomorrow... but the weather channel looks iffy. Thinking 7:30... anyone else? I'll be playing it a bit by ear, weather wise... hope to see you!

Sole Food
Hey girls...
If you missed the conversation last week, we were talking about getting together a couple of times over the winter to help out with "Inn From the Cold" which provides a hot meal and a warm place to sleep during the coldest months of the year for Kelowna's homeless.
Basically, we could just get a few girls together, make a VERY large, but simple meal, which needs to be delivered between 6 and 8 pm. We would just plan a menu, divy up the groceries and get together at a kitchen (mine is available) to put it all together or have some parts done ahead.
I signed up for a shift on Wednesday, November 4th.
If you're interested and available that day, please let me know. If you're interested but that day doesn't work, let me know because I plan to do this several times this winter with different friends.
Looking forward to cooking up some love for our community!

It's Saturday Again - Yippeeeeeeeeeee!

My most favorite day of the week is here again and I can't wait to run and visit with you all! I'm going to be at Bliss at 7:30 to run 11k doing 10 and 1's. Who wants to join me? I am willing to go earlier if anyone speaks up and says they want earlier. I will post again if I go earlier, otherwise I'll see you all at 7:30.
Please, please, please read Dawn's post just before this one. I think this is a fabulous idea that she is working on.

Running Bling
I love this necklace.
If anyone else is interested in ordering one, the artist will only charge the shipping for one. I'm seriously thinking of ordering it... hunting for a cute running charm. She also said she would do custom pieces... we could get our own little "sole sisters" bling!

Turkey Weekend
Hi everyone
Not sure who will be out this Sat since it's a long weekend and also a race weekend for the Okanagan Internation Marathon.
I'm going to be there Sat morning at 7:30 for a 45 min walk and then visit at Bliss.
Good luck to those running on Sun (and to Leslie out in Victoria). There may be a small group that are meeting after the race to go for coffee or natchos so if you can stay behind, please post in. We will be waiting until after our solesisters in the 1/2 come across the finish line :)

RUN FOR THE CURE WEEKEND, Oct 3/4th

I know a few of us are running or volunteering for the Run For The Cure on Sunday. Are there still a few who will run at Bliss on Sat? I'll be there, starting at 7 to run 10 (my first 10 since June!) Anyone else have plans for Sat??
