Anyone interested in the Penticton 5K next weekend? I sort of had a plan to do a lot of racing this year...but it is always more fun when someone joins you for the road trip.

Saturday Feb 27
I can't believe it's the last weekend in February!!!
Lots of people away this weekend but I'm sure we'll still see lots of smiley faces.
By bike or by foot, I'll be there at 7:30.
How about you?
Kari

Hellooo Ladies!
First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who pulled together to make our little Valentine's Dinner & Care Packages for the clients of Inn From the Cold! They were SOOOOOOO excited about the care packages and very grateful. To hear a tough, 30-something guy say, "YES!!! I'm getting new socks tonight!!!".... wow.
I forgot to take a pic of the finished gift bags, but they each had a pair of socks, a new toothbrush, chocolates, hot-shots, 2 bus tickets and a home-made valentines note. The dinner was extra special too. I love it when we come together to do more than just run and drink coffee. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
In other news... here's a little sneak peek at the NEW SS necklaces.

(If you want the "run like a girl" one with the three small disks that's also available.)
Please post here if you want one and I'll order them March 8th.
The artist says, "The cost for the SS three-disk-style is $36 and without a chain would be $31. Just deduct $5 on any of the necklaces without a chain. To get a disc that just says Run Like A Girl would be $10 without a chain so they can add it to their existing necklace."
As for running this Sat... what's your plan? I'm going to start at 7 and do about 12, including hills. Anyone want to join me on that little venture??
See you Sat!

A question re: race elevation
This is a link to a the route map and an elevation graph for Wenatchee. Can someone who understands what it all means give the rest of us an idea of what we're in for as far as hills go?
