WHADDYA THINK SOLE SISTERS?

So, I was sitting playing with my new laptop thinking how cool it would be if we had our own website of some kind... then I started thinking that it might be a more efficient way to communicate with our group, especially since keeping an accurate e-mail list is such a challenge.

So, I started playing a little and here we are! What would you guys think about giving this method of communication a try?

I think it would be cool because...

• we wouldn't have to keep an e-mail address list that is ever-changing
• we would have one place to direct new people to for information
• we can post pictures (of races and shirts for example!)
• blogging is super cool!

Anyone who wanted to, could create new posts (like this one)... I'll be happy to give the sign-in and password to anyone who might like it, and then EVERYONE AND ANYONE can make a comment in response to a post. You might want to create an id initially, or you can just comment using the "anonymous" option...just be sure to sign your name so we know who you are.

Again, anyone who would like to create new posts can do so once they have the "keys" to the blog... it would probably be a good idea if one or two people were committed to making sure it happened, like, once a week... I'd be happy to volunteer to do that, maybe Patti can remind me if it gets to Friday and I haven't done it yet :-)

As a central place for information, I think ia site like this might be a good idea, and the other possibilies for it's uses are endless! I think it's one of those things that will just take a little getting used to and then will be way more efficient in the long run. It will just be a matter of adding it to your favorites and checking it rather than waiting for an e-mail.

So, what do you think? Want to give it a try? I did NOT spend a lot of time on this, so if you see good reasons NOT to try it, I'm tooooottttaaaallllyyy ok with it... but I think this would be fun!
